Last night we had free preview tickets for License to Wed. We weren't all that enthusiastic about the movie, but hey, it was free. We got to the theater about 10 minutes before the movie was supposed to start, but when we got to the doors, we were told that the theater was already full, and we'd have to go to the box office. We got up to the box office, and they asked us what other movie we'd like to see.

So we watched Live Free or Die Hard for free. YAY! I'd hate to think who had to eat those costs. It was a very good decision. Lots of explosions, lots of "How the HELL did they survive that?" And of course lots of smartass comments. (Mmmm, my favorite!) Bruce and Justin played well off each other. I heartily recommend the movie for anyone who's liked the previous Die Hard movies, and likes action movies.

It took me most of the movie to figure out where I'd seen John's daughter before. And Kevin Smith seems to be getting more acting roles.

It's truly the summer of movies. We've seen a few already this summer: Spidey, Shrek, Pirates. In the past few weeks, we've seen a few more, and there's still more to come!

Fantastic Four: Better than the first movie. THANK GOD! They got rid of Sue's stupid poses when doing her force field. It was funny, and had some good action sequences. Of course, what stays with me was the teletubby impression.

Evan Almighty: I like Steve Carrell. I've enjoyed him in Bruce Almighty, 40-Year-Old Virgin, and even Bewitched. And I liked Bruce Almighty. This movie is exactly what it's advertised as: a fun family flick. The crassest it gets is bird poop. But we were giggling over the gags, especially a movie marquee shown at one point.

Tomorrow we have a free preview for License To Wed. As much as I love Robin, he's extremely hit or miss, and I have a feeling this will be a miss. But hey, it's free. Then there's Live Free or Die Hard, and Transformers in the near future. Yay movies! And getting very close to a week of Harry Potter.

In other news, I'm extremely pissed that I lost my WOMBAT code. I should have copied, not cut, so now I have no idea if I got a third Exceeds Expectations. (this is a test on JK Rowling's site, for those who don't know.)
